The deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the ARC George Psarev reported at a press conference in Simferopol on July 14, within the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was created a working group to coordinate the activities of executive bodies and local authorities to enforce the land rights of citizens living in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The working group comprises 17, including representatives of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, the public organization "Avdet", as well as representatives of relevant ministries and committees. The head of the commission G. Psarev and his deputies are Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Aziz Abdullayev, head of the Republican Committee on Land Resources ARC Alexander shepherds.

According to the Crimean human rights defender Jean Zapruty, the working group established under the Council of Ministers of Crimea with a view to resolving the urgent problems arising on the acquisition and implementation of Crimeans land rights, as well as its methods of work clearly demonstrate that this structure works to legitimize land squatting on the peninsula:

“A paradoxical situation: now established a working group, which, roughly speaking, commits an old mistake, only now under the blue and white flag. In this working group was included squatters, and now the working group for the state money to decide how the same people who had seized vast tracts of Crimean land not only to avoid criminal or other responsibility for squatting, but still receive more land, "- said Jean Zapruty”

This working group will work within a month. During this time It examines all squattings in order to determine who claims to these lands, to which category of land they are, how many temporary or permanent buildings located on them, etc. "Then, for each section will be painted list of issues and ways to overcome these problems”- said Psarev. According to him, there are 71 “protest meadows” in the Crimea. Two weeks counted 71 checks squatting land. According to the Comptroller-General of Ukraine, today there are 12,7 thousand hectares of land is used without permits in the Crimea.

In June, President Council of Ministers of the ARC Basil Dzharty said that working groups will operate as long as there is no established land registry.
