Construction output in the Crimea - the decline continues

In the I half of this year the enterprises and organizations of the Crimea have performed construction work amounting to 629.5 mln. That by 134,5 million UAH., Or by 17,6% less compared to the same period last year. According to the General Statistics Office in the Crimea, the general decline in the volume of construction is most affected by the performance of enterprises engaged in construction of buildings and structures. Their share in total volume of construction work is 89%. Most significantly reduced the work of enterprises engaged in construction of buildings - at 36%.

During the period from January to June, the work performed as follows: Work on new construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment accounting for 79% of the total amount of work, on major and current repairs - 13% and 8%, respectively.

This situation is a testament to the continuation of the deterioration of the construction industry in the Crimea, although the rate of decline is gradually decreasing. For example, volume of construction work decreased by 37.9% to 1988.6 million UAH in Crimea, 2009.

Thus, the first six months of this year, particular in Simferopol construction companies completed construction work amounting to 438.6 mln. That is less by 89,5 million UAH., Or by 16,9% compared to the same period in 2009. Of the total number of construction enterprises in Simferopol just 68.7% worked in January-June.

For the 6 months the Simferopol’s organization fulfilled the construction of buildings on the amount of 233.9 mln., of which 85,8 million UAH - Construction of residential houses. The construction of engineering structures made on 204,7 million UAH.

At work on new construction accounts for 86% of the total volume of construction work. The capital and maintenance accounts for 2,7% and 11,3% respectively.

In the first half of this year, Sebastopol construction enterprises performed construction work on $ 92 mln. That is less by 35.42 mln., Or 27,8% than the same period in 2009.

Somewhat better is the situation in the Simferopol district. In January-June, enterprises and organizations Simferopol district completed construction work on the amount of 8,7 mln. That on 3,1 million UAH., Or 1,6 times more compared to the same period in 2009. Of the total number of construction enterprises in Simferopol district in January-June, worked 80%.

For the 6 months of work on the construction of buildings are made in the amount of 2,1 million UAH., For the construction of engineering structures - on 6,6 million UAH.
