The Case about the abolition of the Constitution of Crimea (1998) transferred to the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine

imageDecision to refer the case to abolish the Constitution of the ARC in the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine was approved July 23 at a meeting of the District Administrative Court of the Crimea. It was told the plaintiff Valery Podyachy, coordinator of the Popular Front "Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia.

"The judges agreed - because as defendants appeared Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine and People's Deputy Leonid Grach, - to refer the case for further consideration in the Supreme Administrative Court.

However, plaintiff's counsel V. Kurbatov believes that if the court considered an act of local importance, then it should be considered in the Crimea. Now the plaintiff can appeal the decision of the court in Sevastopol Administrative Court of Appeal, or to agree to the suit in the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine.

Traditionally, the hearing was accompanied by a picket, which was attended by representatives of public organizations of Autonomy and slogans "Give us a federalized," "Constitution Grach - in the toilet of history!", "Traitor Grach - to the court of history!" were proclaimed.

Podyachy seeking restoration of the Constitution of the ARC from 1992, which in fact is the Constitution of an independent state.
